History
Rahnama Industrial Gearbox Manufacturing Factory was established in 1984, backed by the technical expertise of its founder, Saeed Rahnama.
In 1969, following the establishment of Arak Machinery Company as the first heavy industry in the country to meet national industrial needs, he voluntarily joined the company along with its first group of employees. He received training from experts sent by the Soviet Union and subsequently earned the rank of Master Machinist. Until 1979, he continued to serve in various roles, including machine tool instructor, technical secretary, head of the machine tool department, and supervisor of the workshops at the Arak Machinery Training Center.
In 1975, while still working at Arak Machinery Company, he established a small machining workshop, providing services such as the production of gears, sprockets, shafts, splines, and related components for the spinning and weaving, flour, pasta, agricultural machinery, and other industries. From 1981 onward, the founder embarked on a path that eventually led to the establishment of the current Rahnama Industrial Gearbox Manufacturing facility.
Rahnama Manufacturing began its initial operations in 1981 after obtaining the necessary administrative licenses. The factory was constructed in an industrial town in Arak, the capital of Markazi Province. Initially, the facility included production, assembly, and final testing workshops, a painting room, raw material storage, parts and tools warehouse, and an administrative building. After the completion of construction and installation of machinery, production and manufacturing of industrial and food machinery—such as pasta production lines, textile machinery, metal rolling machines, and spare parts—commenced and continued until 1988.
Since 1988, the factory’s production focus has shifted toward the manufacturing of a specific and specialized product: Industrial Gearboxes
Since then, a large number of industrial gearboxes have been produced in this facility and utilized across the country’s key industries, including petrochemical, oil and gas, refineries, cement plants, steel mills, and other sectors.
The application of up-to-date technical knowledge, continuous efforts toward optimization, enhancement of quality levels, expansion of the product range, and the production of various custom gearboxes have long been strategic goals of Rahnama Industrial Gearbox Manufacturing Factory. From the outset, the factory has focused on quality, innovation, and superior customer service, with its primary objective being the provision of solutions that improve efficiency and reliability for the industrial systems of its valued customers.
