The VF series includes gearboxes and gearmotors in which motion is transmitted through a pair of worm shafts and gears.

Worm Gearboxes (VFU-Worm Gear)
VFU series gearboxes are a type of worm gearbox featuring an integrated base and housing.
The main features of this product compared to the VF series include:
֍ Ability to be installed in various orientations without requiring structural modifications; the integrated housing and base prevent oil leakage and premature failure of gearbox mounts.
֍ Exceptional resistance to breakage under adverse conditions.
֍ Increase in output torque (M2 daNm) by approximately 10 to 20 percent.

Worm Gearboxes (VF/VF-Worm Gear)
To achieve higher reduction ratios, two VF-type worm gearboxes are flange-mounted together. The ability to change the relative installation positions of the gearboxes provides access to a wide range of operating configurations. For attaining very low output speeds, it is recommended to use double worm combination gearboxes, through which higher torque can also be achieved in accordance with the relationship Ms₂ = Ma, Fs·Fs < Ms₂.
